 Bhutanese Nunnery Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang, 

Perched atop a hill in the sacred Punakha Valley of Bhutan, the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery stands as a haven of spirituality and tranquility. A serene morning found me privileged to witness and partake in the nuns' early rituals. As the sun gradually illuminated the Himalayan horizon, the fragrance of burning incense wafted through the air.

The ambiance was alive with the resonance of chanting, drums, and horns emanating from the central temple. As I approached the sanctuary and removed my shoes, a scene of devotion unfolded before me. The nuns, aligned in perfect rows, initiated their morning prayer – a symphony of verses dedicated to the well-being of all sentient beings.

Seated in a corner of the chamber, I assumed the lotus pose, transported into a state of meditation. Amidst the Himalayan heights, a group of young nuns was engaged in a profound dedication to the betterment of our world. The spectacle of these maternally-guided Buddhist practitioners in action stirred a deep well of emotions within me. The purity of the experience was overwhelming.

In that sacred moment, it became evident that regardless of my whereabouts and the circumstances of my day, I was forever blessed. The nuns at Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery bestowed daily blessings upon me and all sentient beings. Their devotion and the spiritual energy they emitted resonated far beyond that hilltop, leaving an indelible imprint on my heart.
